I bougt 2 new ram modules for my laptop, but could only find the 1 module in the laptop?!?

I just couldnt find that other freakin module. so what do you do? you start to unscrew all the screws to find it =)

and i did! but its not easy to access, its placed under the keyboard (lame)

its right about here:

So you have to unscrew the 2x 2screws in the hinges for the screen and unmount the carbon part of the laptops keyboard, also you need to unscrew all the screws underneath the laptop tofully disasemble it

have fun =)

Noisy acer laptop

Hey
I recently bought an Acer Ferrari 3400, yes i know its not the newest model but i like the design (all red and stuff)

but there is something that is bothering me about this laptop, even if you just surf the net, the fan starts and its really noisy and that grinds my gears -(Peter Griffen, Family Guy)

and so i research the net for an solution, and i found this link:

Nice link

In short terms it describes how to make profiles for your cpu, to change between low voltage on the cpu, and normal/hi voltage on the cpu
when the cpu gets lower voltage than it normal does, it dosnt perform as much, and then the fan has no reason to cool it down. problem solved

and the cool thing about this is that i can easily be changed with a clink on the tray icon, and it can even be set to auto, so it will be running normal voltage

how to do this? just follow the guide i linked to. it describes the procedure step-by-step so it should be easy :)

**** UPDATE ****

Found a more easy app:
Notebook Hardware Control

This is an elite app that can contol cpu speed and gfx speed with an easy touch :)
